Important Service Disclosures for Edward Parsons, CPA
This page states, in one place, the disclosures that apply to everything published on edparsonscpa.com and its related sites (signup., marketing., offers., pfic-analyzer.).
Who I am and where I am licensed
I am Edward Parsons, a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy (License 26369, issued 2009; PTIN P00956336). I do not hold a CPA licence in Florida or in any state other than Massachusetts. Under CPA mobility rules I represent clients in examinations, collections and administrative proceedings before the IRS and state departments of revenue across the United States. I do not provide attest services (audits, reviews or compilations) that require a licence in the client’s state. My services are limited to tax resolution, tax compliance, advisory and representation.
No fixed place of business
Ed Parsons, CPA does not maintain a fixed place of business. The practice is remote; I meet clients anywhere in the United States by appointment — at their location, at a booked meeting room, or by video. Correspondence goes to the mailing address 382 NE 191 St #427865 (PMB), Miami, FL 33179-3899. Any city named on this site describes where clients are served, not an office.
Request a Personalized Tax Resolution Quote
I am a CPA, not an attorney. Nothing on this site is legal advice. I do not draft or review operating agreements, bylaws or other governance documents, and I do not represent clients in court. Where a matter needs a lawyer I say so, and I work with counsel where appropriate.
General information, not advice
Articles, tools, calculators and commentary on this site are general educational information. They are not tax advice for your situation and are not a substitute for engaging a professional who has reviewed your facts. Tax law changes, and a page may be out of date. Every taxpayer’s situation is different — consult a qualified professional about your own circumstances before acting.
No client relationship by reading, writing or paying online
Viewing this site, using a form, sending a message, or purchasing a product on the store does not by itself create a professional–client relationship. A relationship exists only when a written engagement letter is signed by both of us; the engagement letter defines the scope, the fee and the responsibilities of each side. See Terms of Purchase for CPA Services.
IRS Circular 230 disclosure
Any federal tax advice contained on this website is not intended or written to be used, and cannot be used, for the purpose of (i) avoiding penalties under the Internal Revenue Code, or (ii) promoting, marketing, or recommending to another party any transaction or matter addressed herein.
Examples and client stories
The examples, scenarios and case narratives on this site are illustrative composites — not specific clients. Amounts, places, industries, family and entity structures and timelines have been changed and combined so that no client can be identified. They are labelled at the point of use: “Illustrative composite — not a specific client; results depend on your facts.” No client’s tax return information is published without the written consent required by IRC §7216 and the AICPA Code (ET 1.700.001).
Reviews and testimonials
Reviews and testimonials are reproduced unedited from Google, LinkedIn and other public platforms. Some are from clients and some from colleagues or former employers; each is labelled with its source. They reflect the writer’s own experience. Results depend on each taxpayer’s facts and are not typical or guaranteed.
Fees
The published fee schedule is the store at signup.edparsonscpa.com. Fees quoted for a defined scope are fixed unless the engagement letter says otherwise. Contingent-fee arrangements are offered only where permitted by Circular 230 §10.27, AICPA ET 1.510.001 and applicable state board rules, and are confirmed as permitted before being offered or included in an engagement letter. Where a fee statement covers a matter in which costs may be incurred, the engagement letter states whether you are responsible for those costs.
AI tools on this site
The search and chat tools on this site generate educational answers from an AI search over my own articles. They are not tax advice and are not reviewed by a CPA before you see them. Do not enter Social Security numbers, account numbers or documents. Conversations may be logged for quality review; they are not used to train AI models. How I use AI in engagements is described on the How It Works page.
Privacy and security
How I collect, use, keep and protect information — including tax return information under IRC §7216 — is described in the Privacy Policy. Client information is handled under my written information security plan.
